Electromagnetic Radiation: Wave and Particle Modes of Light
This program looks at the various properties of light and scientists’ attempts to explain them. However, in the early part of the 20th century, the work of scientists including Planck, Einstein, Compton, de Broglie, Davisson and Germer, proved that light demonstrates characteristics of both a wave and a particle – meaning both models are legitimate and that wave particle duality is a valid way of understanding this natural phenomenon.
