The Light Spectrum
The Standard Deviants help you to see the light – the light spectrum, that is. They’ll show you all the properties of light, including the shifty Doppler Effect. That will get you ready for the perceptive topic of telescopes (there’s a lot more to these useful instruments than meets the eye).
-
The Earth and the Moon
The Standard Deviants take you on a tour of that big ball of mud we call home: the Earth. It’s got magnetic fields, atmospheric layers, and more stats than a baseball player. They’ll also take a look at the Earth’s sidekick, the Moon.
-
The Solar System
The Standard Deviants sail through the solar system and meet the planets. There are the terrestrial planets — Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars; and there are the jovian planets — Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. And don’t forget the little fella, Pluto.
-
Accounting: The Basics
The Standard Deviants introduce you to the basics of accounting, including GAAP – the generally accepted accounting principles. You’ll learn about owners’ equity, the three types of business organizations, the five types of accounts, and three types of financial statements. It’s fun, it’s feisty, it’s financial – accounting, that is.
-
Using Ledgers
The Standard Deviants uncover the dark secrets of the double nature of accounting, and expose Stan’s unique television network. There’s also the hidden mysteries of double-entry accounting, the ledger, balancing accounts, and the general ledger.
