My Community

Every day, people get up and go to school, stop at the post office, shop at the market, visit the library and so many other places. What do all of these different places have in common? They are all part of a local community! And whether you live in the heart of a big city or in a very small town, you are part of a community, too. My Community explores places that are an integral part of the world of young viewers while highlighting the role these places play and the people that make them work. From city hall and the fire station to the local hospital, we’ll meet the people who work in your community and see what they do each day. This important series also introduces children to the concept that while not all communities may look the same, they are all made up of the places where people work, live and play together! Teacher’s guides are included and available online. (10 x 15:00) Please call for Board Level Series Pricing.
