Simple Organisms in Action

We are giants in a world filled with small wonders. All around us — in the air that we breathe, on the ground below our feet, in the water that we drink and in our very own bodies — are living things. Simple Organisms in Action introduces students to bacteria, fungi, protists and viruses — organisms that are an integral part of life on Earth. Each program in this entertaining series discusses how these fascinating microorganisms can be beneficial or harmful to humans, separating the “micro-foes” from the “micro-heroes.” A hands-on experiment segment provides students with an easily replicated investigation that will help reinforce the details of these simple organisms.
