Agriculture for Children

Field trips to farms, factories and markets form the backdrop for the Agriculture for Children Video Series. Children will enjoy following along as young hosts discover firsthand how agriculture provides us with the food we eat, clothing we wear and places we live. Learn about the exciting journey food takes as it makes its way from farms to our tables. See how crops are grown and harvested, prepared, packaged and transported to stores. Discover how technology has influenced all phases of food production from using machines to milk cows to harvesting wheat with combines. Visit orchards and rice fields to see the many different places food can be grown, and explore how climate and weather affect the types of crops people grow and the kinds of animals they raise.
